A huge thank you to Jen for the incredibly thoughtful gift of an annual pass to Gibbs Gardens! This means we get to explore its beauty throughout the entire year, witnessing the changing seasons and getting a bit of lovely exercise in the process.
While it’s a bit of a drive for us just for a walk, the setting is undeniably awesome. It was really cool to see the sheer variety of flowers, especially the massive, colorful patches and hillsides covered in blooms. And the changes from week to week were amazing to watch unfold!
However, I think my personal favorite spots were the less showy areas. I particularly liked the little creek areas with the ornate trees with branches going in all sorts of funky angles. The Japanese garden was definitely the highlight, super well thought out design, small waterfalls, and intricate stone paths – just super cool and peaceful.
An annual pass is definitely a worthwhile investment if you appreciate gorgeous landscapes and want a reason to get out and explore. While the drive might make us think twice about ‘replay value’ every single week, for those living closer, it would be an absolute dream for regular visits. Regardless, it was definitely cool to check out, and I highly recommend a visit to experience Gibbs Gardens for yourself!
