We managed to schedule a little extra time on a rugby trip to stop by Cape Canaveral and watch an Atlas 5 launch.

It to about 30 seconds for the sound to reach us and it’s was thunderous. And the flames were unbelievable bright.

Watch that bright flaming right rise silently into the sky was crazy. And then it wasn’t silent anymore.

Back then (!) we weren’t sure the timing was going to work out and had our fingers crossed. Now a days it seems there is a launch everyday.
