Getting a real glimpse into the life of a collegiate rower with Joshua on the University of North Georgia crew team! Apparently, 3:34 AM wake-up calls are just part of the routine. That’s what it takes to get ready, head down to the lake (which isn’t exactly next door), hit the water for a solid row of an hour or so, spend time in the gym, and then hustle back to campus for chow and classes.
To manage the intense schedule and early starts, he’s even resorted to sleeping twice a day now – a true testament to the dedication required! It’s super cool to see him out there on the water, figuring out the ins and outs of rowing. They even asked him to coxswain at one point, though he wasn’t too keen on that idea.
Recently, at a match in Columbia, his ‘B-side’ boat, filled with younger rowers, pulled off an impressive feat – they beat the more experienced team! Pretty awesome to see that hard work paying off. Talk about a demanding but rewarding sport
